PUB CRAWL
Folks in Savusavu are quite a social bunch, and as such have a tour of "watering holes" to visit in their daily schedules. These quaint stops are an oasis to the locals, as we go about our daily business. Not only do we wet our whistles, we catch up on all the daily happenings around the district. It can be quite informative in many ways, as you can well imagine. Here are the places you can go to rub elbows with the locals and catch a yarn or two while meeting a few of the characters that make living in Savusavu such a pleasure. The Planters Club and Savusavu Yacht Club are members only, but as a visitor you may sign-in as a guest and join us for a few drinks while in "heavenly" Savusavu.
***Unless you want to buy everyone in the joint a round of drinks, remember to remove your hat / headgear before entering the Planters or Yacht Club***

SAVUSAVU WOK

The newest eatery in town is the Savusavu Wok serving the best Chinese food this side of the Great Wall. Jackie is a chef trained in the Canton provinence of China. He prepares all dishes fresh out of the wok. Now then, the lovely Amanda will take your order, bring your drinks which include imported beer, ready to drink spirits, a wide selection of wine from around the world, or the coldest Fiji Bitter beer in town. Now how can you beat that, drinks served by a local beauty, that has the loveliest smile you have ever seen.
Life is good... nice bau's too, luv U lewa

Savusavu Yach Club
The friendly staff, Ma, Ovini, and Illi
The Savusavu Yacht Club, located in the "Copra Shed," is also a must see. The staff always serves the drinks with a smile and thank you. The Yacht Club also supports a youth sailing and racing fleet for the local kids. On most weekends you can see them practicing. They really look out for the young sailors in the community, the membership is always looking for new ways to raise funds for this worthy cause. The young sailors made us all proud with their recent finish in an international competition. They also have souvenir Savusavu Yacht Club hats and shirts to add to your memento collection for back home. Please stop in and tell them "Bula Bob" sends them his best.

The Planters Club

The Planters Club was built by the once-prosperous community of plantation owners and is still the heart and soul of the 'part-European' community of Savusavu. The members still place family high in their priority?s which can be seen in the many Sunday family gatherings throughout the year. Have a drink and see if you can catch a yarn from some of the elders of the area, it will be worth buying them a drink to hear about the days gone by.

Decked Out Cafe
Decked out serves light food and local beer and wine. It is a nice setting on a large "deck" outside the building; there in lies the reason for the name. Junior lailai will whip you up a light meal and you can watch the town pass by on the sidewalk feet away from your table.

Bula Re Cafe
The Bula Re cafe offers heavier meals along with the lighter ones and has indoor as well as outdoor seating over looking the harbour. Cold beers, wines are served to compliment your meal.
