WEATHER FACTS

First, a bit of Savusavu humor:

A visitor approached a man on the street. She asked him how she
could tell what the weather was going to be today.

His reply was: "When you can see those mountains it will rain,"
as he pointed across the bay.

The visitor, a bit bewildered, then said, "And?"

To which he replied: "When you can't see them, its raining!"

Savusavu enjoys a tropical climate. Trade winds, or the dry season, occur from about April through September. Clear skies and a cool breeze are common.

October to March is known as the wet season. The trades move away and long hot days accompanied by afternoon thunderstorms that move in. Evenings are enjoyed under the stars as thunderstorms blow themselves out.
